If you're looking for a walleye fishing guide for Green Bay or the Winnebago system, look no further. Captain Troy Krause at Walleye Mafia, LLC is a USCG licensed Captain and American Red Cross train in CPR and First Aid. Even though we pride ourselves on you having the most enjoyable fishing experience possible, nothing is more important than knowing the walleye guide driving the boat puts your safety first.

March and April-Spring run. We spend a lot of time in the rivers. Some techniques we practice at this time of year are vertical jigging, casting jigs with minnows or plastics, casting cranks and trolling. Towards April, we start moving out to Green Bay when ice out allows for safe navigation

May and June- We start to move out in to the Bay, fishing shallow, shorelines. The fish are recovering from the spawn run and starting to put the feed bag on. This is a great time to go out and get some eaters as well as still catch a trophy as they are starting to put weight back on.

Throughout July and August, the walleye are in their summer patterns. The water is warm and they move out deep. At this time of year, we are targeting walleye in 20-40 feet of water during the day and we move to shallower areas at night. Captain Troy goes out of several different ports on the Green Bay and Winnebago systems to make sure to stay on the fish so that you have the best opportunity to either bag that trophy walleye or your limit of nice eater sized walleye.
